Professional experience since 1970 has taught me that the ultimate purpose of personal and organizational development is the fulfillment of authentic needs, expectations, wishes and desires. This is true from

the perspective of an individual, an organization, or a family.

My work across four career orientations (education, clinical psychology, executive coaching, and leadership development) has been dedicated to empowering others to live better lives and organizations to be more productive and "user friendly." Experience has taught me the importance of four interrelated factors, and the role of coaching in providing support for producing better results.

Quality Leadership channels performance and results on both organizational and individual levels. Leadership development raises the quality and effectiveness of leadership, the level of performance of individuals and teams, and the desirability of results in for-profit and non-profit organizations. I welcome the chance to connect you with the abundant resources of the Center for Creative Leadership where you can identify programs in which you may wish to enroll, or receive help designing a custom program for your organization.

Quality Relationships optimize resources. Virtually all success and achievement of the 21st Century will depend on the quality and productivity of relationships. Communication, cooperation, collaboration, and good will among people with differing beliefs, values, knowledge and expertise, are essential to competitive advantage and creative response to the accelerating rate of change as well as to conflict resolution.

Poorly Managed Fear is the root of a wide array of defensive behaviors that diminish the quality of leadership, performance, and relationships. There are methods for managing fear that optimize leadership and civilize relationships.

Career and Life Satisfaction is the implicit or explicit purpose behind all personal efforts. Satisfaction of customers, shareholders, and employees is both the result of development in the other three factors, and a study in-and-of itself. It is not about selfishness or exploiting others. There is a higher vision of authentic satisfaction that occurs in a win-win context.

Coaching is a powerful resource for achieving better leadership, relationships and satisfaction. Coaching focuses on creating desired results in the future. A good coach helps individuals and teams assess success factors, set goals, identify obstacles, identify personal developmental opportunities, design action plans, confirm personal commitment for action, and it assures the presence of resources needed for success, including providing accountability.
